Our Story

PT RESCO Sumba Terang (RESCO) is a social enterprise focusing in providing access to sustainable renewable energy in remote area. Established in 2016, the company is based in Sumba, Nusa Tenggara Timur with diverse team members, mostly are Sumba-origin.

RESCO provides reliable, safe and affordable clean renewable energy solutions in various forms such as microgrids to villages, small solar lanterns, solar home systems to residents and solar systems to schools, kiosks and small businesses as well as solar water pump.

We work with women entrepreneurs

Women in rural Indonesia commonly operate small groceries kiosks to earn additional household income. But many of these kiosks lack access to electricity. RESCO support these women entrepreneurs by providing electricity to their home on a leasing scheme, and lantern and handphone charging station for outer communities living away from main roads where the grid usually passes through.



We offer peer-to-peer sharing system for small settlement

Rural households have varying degree of electricity capacity depending on their financial capacity. RESCO’s peer-to-peer energy sharing system allows small groups of houses to make an investment on different DC hardware and share energy. This is a solution to minimize investment costs for houses that have smaller load demands to benefit from their neighbors who have a higher ability to invest.
